Website Changes

This website is undergoing an upgrade in January/February 2012. This is expected to include:

1. A change in the site name from northernbeachesbridge.info to bridge-game.info (though there will be an automatic redirect from the old name to the new name for several months) - DONE
2. A major upgrade of the Joomla content management software to the new 2.5 version (with a short period at version 1.7 along the way)- DONE
3. A change in its template design (in part to make it faster)- DONE
4. Extension to more bridge clubs in the region including Trumps Bridge Centre at Mosman and North Sydney Leagues Bridge Club at Cammeray (and others who may be interested) - DONE
5. An automated eNewsletter to keep subscribers informed of news and new content - DONE
6. Adding more features of value to bridge clubs and their members - this might include allowing participating bridge clubs to link to their part of the site via a subdomain (such as peninsula.bridge-club.info in addition to bridge-club.info/peninsula) if they wish
